Churchill is ICT Mark Accredited - May 2008
In May 2008 Churchill was assessed by NAACE/BECTA for its use, provision and delivery of ICT and related technologies. We became the first (and currently only) North Somerset Secondary School to be awarded the "ICT Mark" for good use of ICT by these Government agencies.
We are proud of our investment in overhauling our use, embedding and effectiveness of computers and communications technology; becoming one of the best schools in the area within a few years.
Background Information:
The ICT Mark is an externally assessed quality mark against which organisations can measure whether they have reached a recognised standard of maturity in their use of technology.
The standard of e-maturity that the ICT Mark represents has been agreed by all the partner organisations involved in the development of the framework, such as the British Education Communications and Technology Agency, NAACE, DfES and Local Authorities.
Schools accredited as achieving the ICT Mark standard are demonstrating that they are committed to using technology to improve their overall effectiveness and efficiency and are "good" or "excellent" in their use and delivery of ICT.
